FIRST FOR VIRGIN MEDIA AND SECOND FOR AVIVA ENSURES DOUBLE SUCCESS IN EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION
When Virgin Media's Shout recognition scheme took the top prize in the Best Employee Recognition Programme category at the prestigious Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) Awards recently, with Aviva's Spotlight programme in second place, the results were a double success for (Milton Keynes) P&MM Motivation because its staff developed both programmes.
The results were announced and prizes presented before a large audience at a glamorous ceremony hosted by John Culshaw at London's Hilton hotel.
John Sylvester, Executive Director of P&MM Motivation, said: "This is a tremendous result for both our clients and our staff. There was keen competition for these awards so this is a terrific achievement. Congratulations to both the Virgin Media and Aviva teams."
The Virgin Media Shout programme was designed to create an exciting and innovative staff recognition programme that ensures that the company's 15,000 employees feel appreciated and valued. At the same time it increases cross-departmental recognition, significantly improves employee satisfaction, builds an atmosphere of trust and empowerment, engages staff with Virgin Media values. All these factors lead to better customer service.
The 'Shout!' programme continues to go from strength to strength, ensuring that Virgin Media is the employer of choice within this sector.
The Aviva 'Spotlight' scheme enables 22,000 staff at the UK's largest insurer to thank colleagues and to nominate them for additional rewards in recognition of their efforts.
The points-based scheme, created and run by P&MM Motivation, operates via a comprehensive website. Through the site, employees can send e-cards as a way of saying thank you, as well as putting forward individuals and teams for additional awards.
Nominations are submitted to appropriate managers who can then decide what level of reward has been earned. Points are awarded and placed in the individual's account on the website so that each person can redeem their own prize. The site provides a range of more than 500 gifts, including cinema tickets, wine, chocolates, watches, jewellery, vouchers and experience days.
